Simplicity in the City near DTA

Clean and tidy place. Host is very friendly and responsive. The location is close to downtown, very convenient. Highly recommended!

We picked this house because our son and his family live just a few streets over. We found the house to be very clean and comfortable. There was a bottle of wine and a few chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. The Keurig had some k-cups and artificial sweetners. The bathrooms are not very spacious, especially the master bath which is very small. The AC worked just fine. It is a little noisy but the AC unit is in a closet in the hall and not in the attic as they are nowadays. We found that the wifi worked pretty well. As some others have said, everything was not perfect. We didn't know that the garage had been converted into a second unit. It wasn't a problem except that you could not have parked two cars in the driveway without blocking in the car belonging to the garage unit. The garbage disposal didn't work and there was no body wash in the either bathroom. We did notify the host but we were only there two nights and they did not get any body wash to us while we were there.

I would give this place a 0 star if possible. So many issues from the time we checked in to check out and even post that while try to resolve issues. - None of the power plugs in the bedroom worked - Big cockroach in the kitchen - Water dispenser on the fridge wouldn't work - Shower curtains in both bathrooms fell When we reported each of these issues they acked but nothing was done to resolve them. Respones: - "We had lot of rain last few days so the breaker might tripped". I tried resetting the breaker but nothing fixed it. They did nothing further to fix it. - "With rain the bugs do come out when it happens". REALLY??? Should we all expect roaches with rains? I had sent them so many pictures over the couple days with the roach but nothing was done. Basically, we issue was acked but nothing done. The hosts seem to offer refunding the money but later said, "We can't refund as you didn't offer to leave early when you saw the issues?" Again, REALLY? WORST PLACE! NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL

I was surprised to find that the room had not been cleaned upon my arrival, which was a first for me on Airbnb. However, I truly appreciate the host's quick response to my feedback; they immediately dispatched a cleaning team to resolve the issue. While I understand that oversights can happen during busy periods - like the UTA grad ceremony during my stay, I hope the cleaning standards will be more strictly monitored in the future. Thank you to the host for the professional communication and timely remedy.

Living room was very spacious, setup was comfortable. However, the sofa bed setup is not as pictured. It has a different sofa in the living room and it cannot be turned into a sofa bed. WiFi signal was very weak and kept dropping. Rooms were cleaned and comfortable. Overall good stay.

I had a fantastic stay at this place! The home was exactly as described—immaculately clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. Communication was smooth, and the host was incredibly responsive. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area—I would definitely come back!

Our experience was positive but a few things could have been improved. We rented the house as a “whole place” but it seems like they turned the attached garage into a separate Airbnb unit. We could hear the other renters talking and they had a dog who barked loudly for long periods of time. We were separated by double doors with a deadbolt on the inside so it felt safe enough but not as private as we expected. Also, the AC unit was extremely loud, the WiFi didn’t work most of the time, and the en suite bathroom in the master bedroom had a weird smell. Overall the place was clean, had a great communal space that was perfect for our group, and worked well for us, but it was not a 5 star experience.

None of the outlets worked in the kitchen. Only one of the light fixtures worked in the living room/kitchen.

Everything was great and when I had an issue with timing they worked with me.

had a quiet, peaceful stay. primary bed was extremely comfortable and I got excellent rest. I do wish I had known in advance that it is a duplex; it didn't end up being an issue for my stay, but the listing type did state "whole house" not "apartment".

The Airbnb was comfortable and sufficient for my group of 6 people. Easy, detailed instructions. In a great location close to downtown. Nice home in great shape. I have nothing negative to say.

Eric was a great and flexible host! Family stayed here for a UT graduation commencement and traffic was not bad when traveling from the Airbnb to the campus. The place was very spacious and beautiful for a post-commencement dinner. The area is lowkey too, which is nice because we are in a quiet residential area during a busy and traffic-filled weekend. I could recommend this place to any Austin graduate for their out of town family members. 💕

This home is great…clean, spacious & easy access. Showers were good. Beds slept comfortably. Kitchen is large & well equipped. The house was perfect. Eric is a wonderful host!
